Impressionism and Post-Impressionism were two art movements that emerged in 19^th century France; however, their subject matter, technique, light and color differed, as well as the influential artists in each period.  Drawing on works represented in The Hyman Collection, join Beth Stein as she discusses the birth of each of these art movements, their major differences, how one gave rise to the other, and the significant artists whose names and iconic works are associated with each.
