Both of these artists were a part of a group of artists and writers who lived, worked and socialized in Brewster, MA.  This consortium of artists rivaled the artist colony that had developed in Provincetown.  Both were painters; Fitsch also designed sets for the Cape Playhouse in Dennis, MA.  Both artists have works in various museums around the United States, including the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis.
